Doug Tansill

Since January 2000 Mr. Tansill has been a private investor and financial consultant associated with Cover Harbor Partners, LLC in Stamford, CT.
From November 2000 to January 2002 he was an Advisor to UBS Warburg and prior to that was an Advisory Director with PaineWebber, Incorporated, which was acquired by UBS Warburg in November 2000. Mr. Tansill came to PaineWebber in December 1994 as a Managing Director in the Investment Banking Division upon the sale of the assets of Kidder, Peabody Incorporated to PaineWebber. In 1998 he became an Advisory Director. He had joined Kidder, Peabody in 1978 in its Investment Banking Department as a Vice Presidence, became a shareholder in 1980 and a Managing Director in 1986. From January 1982 to September 1986 and from May 1987 to December 1994, Mr. Tansill was a member of the Board of Kidder, Peabody Group, Inc. He was a member of Kidder, Peabody Group's Management Committee from February 1989 and was a member of the Investment Banking Commitment Committee from April 1986 and its Chairman from June 1990 to December 1994. From April 1986 to June 1987 Mr. Tansill was co-head of Investment Banking and was that Department's acting head in the first half of 1989.
Prior to joining Kidder, Peabody Mr. Tansill was with Merrill Lynch White Weld Capital Markets Group and before that was a First Vice President of White Weld and Co. Incorporated and an officer of predecessor firms dating back to 1970. He began his business career with Bankers Trust Company in 1963 and left that organization in 1970 as a Vice President.
Mr. Tansill has been a Director in INVESTools Inc. since October 2003 and is Chairman of the Audit Committee. The company, headquartered in New York, is a leader in the business of individual investor education and online brokerage. Other public companies of which he has been a director include the United States Surgical Corporation from 1975 to 1995, Jet Capital Corporation from 1969 to 1990, Unimet Corporation from 1973 to 1974, Edgcomb Steel of New England from 1984 to 1986, and Niagara Corporation from 1998 to 2006. Mr. Tansill served as an Exchange Officer of the American Stock Exchange from 1988 to 1993.
Mr. Tansill has been a Trustee Emeritus of Trinity College in Hartford, CT since 2004. From 1988 to 2004 he was a Charter Trustee and from 1972 to 1979 was an Alumnus Trustee. He has been a Trustee Emeritus of Trinity School in New York, NY since 1993. He served as a Trustee from 1969 to 1993 and was President of the Board of Trustees from 1989 to 1992. He was a Director of the Harvard Business School Alumni Association from 2000 to 2003. In 2005 he joined the Board of Expeditionary Learning Schools Outward Bound and prior to that was on the Board of Outward Bound USA. He has also been on the Board of the Vail Valley Music Festival since 2002 and became Vice Chairman in 2005.
Mr. Tansill received the degree of Master in Business Administration from Harvard Business School in 1963 and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Trinity College in 1961. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1956 to 1962. He has been married to the former Dhuanne R. Schmitz since 1964 and they have a daughter, Peyton, born in 1969, and a son, Douglas, born in 1973. Mr. and Mrs. Tansill are residents of Vero Beach, FL and also have a home in Stamford, CT.
