Arianna Zuckerman - Soprano Photo Credit: Peter Bussian Equally in demand for opera and concert performances, Arianna Zukerman's 2007-08 season includes performing as soloist in Haydn's The Seasons with Music of the Baroque; with the Gulbenkian Orchestra in Lisbon, Lawrence Foster conducting; her return to the National Philharmonic for Britten's War Requiem under Stan Engebretson; Mozart's Requiem with the Long Island Philharmonic; performances of Beethoven's Missa Solemnis with the Vermont Symphony Orchestra and her debut at the Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival. The 2006-2007 season included Ms. Zukerman’s Boston Symphony debut with Maestro James Levine conducting Moses und Aron, three performances with the Philadelphia Orchestra singing the soprano solo in Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9, and her debut singing the Female Chorus in the Rape of Lucretia under Maestro Lorin Maazel at his Castleton Residency Program for Young Artists. Other engagements included appearing as soloist at the Kennedy Center’s New Year’s Eve Gala, and a return to the National Arts Centre Orchestra in Ottawa, Canada to sing the soprano solo in the Requiem of Verdi. Ms. Zukerman also began an ongoing collaboration with the Miami String Quartet. Recent opera performances include her New York City Opera debut in Mark Adamo's Lysistrata, the Governess in The Turn of the Screw with Chicago Opera Theater. Despina at the Arizona Opera and Euridice in Gluck's Orfeo ed Euridice with the Chattanooga Symphony and Opera. She has sung across the globe with the Minnesota Orchestra, Israel Philharmonic, Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, Gulbenkian Foundation Orchestra, National Arts Centre Orchestra, Moscow Chamber Orchestra, Seattle Symphony, Pittsburgh Symphony, Colorado Symphony, Cathedral Choral Society and Choral Arts Society both in Washington, D.C., English Symphony Orchestra, and the Winterthur Musikkollegium in Mozart's Requiem, Mass in C minor, and "Coronation" Mass; Handel's Messiah and Solomon; Verdi's Requiem; and Vivaldi's Gloria. Ms. Zukerman also performs regularly in recital and at the Vail Valley Music Festival and the Savannah Music Festival. Ms. Zukerman was a member of the Bavarian State Opera Junges Ensemble.
